ABOUT ME
I am originally from Mexico City, where I studied a BA in International Relations at the UNAM, and I have a PhD in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
My research is on human rights, comparative criminal justice, victims' rights, access to justice, norm and legal diffusion, with a regional emphasis on Latin America.
I currently work in New York City and live in Westchester county.
(Personal trivia: my complete legal name is "Veronica Michel Luviano" because Hispanics tend to recognize the mother in their family name)
